Menton Vieux Port is a member of Navily (a very useful free app that is highly recommended - it replaces all harbour pilots).

Ports that are members can be booked just like a hotel. We have tried several times, and it works! 

In this case we booked the day before arrival and received a positive response the same afternoon. All boat papers, which they are quite fond of down here, can be uploaded to the app and are automatically transferred - plus the price is fixed

After the circus in Villefranche it was a breeze, just announcing our arrival over the radio, and they understood us immediately, taxied us to the berth and a mooring helper was ready - perfect!

We had a look at Monte Carlo from the seaside - and decided that was fine. No urge to visit from land side.

A truly amazing city. The pastel coloured houses climbing up the hillside. The narrow streets and stairs, and the view to the Med.

The city is renown for its perfect climate for lemon trees. 'Eau de Menton' is a citrus 'eau-de-parfume' that has been sold successfully since 1947 and is produced here in Menton.

The city is also famous for its botanical gardens. We went to one of them - a great experience after climbing the hills in tropic heat.
