Lauwersoog-Dokkum
- Crossing the inland Lauwersmeer
- Entering the Stande Mastroute at the bottom of the inland sea
- Smooth sailing, passing a single lock and many bridges
- Nice weather for once - partly sunny and not too cold
- Holland is very nice viewed from the canal
The bridges are opening quite promptly - assuming that you are are a couple of boats waiting
We found a very nice mooring place almost in the center of Dokkum.
The town is definitely worth visiting - very authentic.
We bought some very good cheese - this is cheese country!!!
